Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs (Mukura VS) Part Ways with Czech Coach Tomáš Trucha Before He Takes Charge

Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs (Mukura VS) have parted ways with Czech coach Tomáš Trucha before he officially began his duties, after the coach accepted another job offer that he said he could not turn down.

Trucha had already signed a contract with Mukura VS and had arrived in Huye District, where he was expected to begin preparations for the club ahead of the 2026/27 Rwanda Premier League season.

In a video message addressed to Mukura supporters, Trucha said the decision to leave the club was extremely difficult because all contractual agreements had already been finalized.

“After a long night and day of thinking, I decided to terminate my contract with Mukura VS. It was not an easy decision; it was a very difficult one. I received another professional opportunity that I simply could not refuse.”

He dismissed reports suggesting that his departure was due to disagreements with the club’s management, insisting that negotiations had been smooth and conducted professionally.

“I want to assure you that all discussions with the Mukura leadership went very well. There was no problem at all. Everything had been agreed upon. But sometimes in football, opportunities arise that are impossible to refuse.”

Trucha explained that he requested permission from the club’s management to leave, and both parties agreed to terminate the contract amicably and with mutual respect.

“We agreed on the terms of our separation and ended the contract respectfully and professionally.”

The Czech coach thanked Mukura fans for the warm welcome they gave him and promised to continue following the club’s progress. He also expressed hope that he would have the opportunity to return in the future.

“I hope this is not the last time you see me. I will keep following Mukura’s progress closely, and I promise that when the time is right, I will return. Thank you very much for your understanding.”

In an official statement, Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs confirmed that the separation was reached by mutual agreement.

The club explained that although Trucha had already arrived in Huye, he later received another professional opportunity, leading both parties to terminate the contract before he officially started his role.

Mukura also revealed that Trucha honored the terms of the agreement by paying the compensation fee stipulated in the contract to facilitate its termination.

The club has since begun the search for a new head coach to lead the team into the 2026/27 season and said supporters will be informed of his replacement in the near future.
