Rayon Sports Bounce Back With 3-0 Win Over Mathare UniTed

Rayon Sports have responded positively to their recent 1-0 defeat to APR FC by securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Kenyan side Mathare United in Kigali.

The Blues controlled the game and found the back of the net through Boris, Elie Tatou and Muhoza Daniel, completing a comfortable victory against the visitors.

The result gives Rayon Sports renewed confidence as they prepare for a busy period of the season. Coach Haringingo also used the match to rotate his squad, giving opportunities to several players, while Nshuti Didier was the only starter who had featured in the side that defeated Gor Mahia.

Mathare United, meanwhile, leave Kigali after a difficult spell that included their defeat to Rayon Sports.

Rayon Sports’ attention now turns to the Super Cup clash against Police FC on August 22, 2026, before another fixture on August 28.

The Rwandan giants will then shift their focus to continental football, with a trip to face Panthère Sportive in Cameroon on September 5, followed by the return leg in Kigali on September 12, 2026.
