Habimana Sosthène Returns to Rayon Sports as Assistant Coach

Rayon Sports have officially confirmed the return of Habimana Sosthène to the club’s technical bench, where he will serve as assistant coach to head coach Haringingo Francis ahead of the 2026/27 season. The appointment strengthens the club’s coaching staff as preparations intensify for domestic and continental competitions.  

Habimana is no stranger to the Blues. He previously worked as Rayon Sports’ assistant coach and also served as interim head coach during the 2014/15 season, making his return one backed by experience and a deep understanding of the club’s culture.  

The experienced tactician holds a CAF B Coaching Licence, a qualification that allows him to work in both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, where Rayon Sports are expected to compete this season. His arrival is expected to provide valuable technical support to Haringingo Francis as the club aims to challenge for silverware on all fronts.

Rayon Sports have been strengthening both their playing squad and technical team during the current transfer window, signaling their ambition to build a competitive side capable of competing successfully in the Rwanda Premier League and on the continental stage. The addition of Habimana is seen as another important step in that process.
