Rwanda Premier League: Kiyovu Sports Secure Victory While AS Kigali Forces Late Draw Against Mukura VS

Fans at the stadium witnessed a game of two halves as AS Kigali hosted side Mukura Victory Sports.
he first half was a highly tactical affair with both teams locking horns in the midfield. Clear-cut chances were few and far between, forcing both sides to head into the dressing rooms at halftime with the scoreboard showing 0-0.
The game finally came alive in the second half. In the 55th minute, both teams were still measuring each other up, but the deadlock was finally broken in the 66th minute. Mukura’s Fred Niyonizeye capitalized on a defensive lapse to slot home the opening goal, giving the visitors a hard-earned 1-0 lead
The goal served as a wake-up call for AS Kigali. Pushing forward in search of an equalizer, the hosts didn’t have to wait long. Just two minutes later, in the 68th minute, Sunday Inemesit found the back of the net to bring the game back to level terms at 1-1.

Despite late pushes from both sides in the 85th minute and through stoppage time, the defenses held strong, and both teams walked away sharing the spoils.

In another highly anticipated fixture, Kiyovu Sports displayed great patience and resilience to overcome a stubborn Gasogi United side.
For the majority of the match, Gasogi United’s backline proved difficult to breach. As the clock ticked past the 66th minute and into the final stretch of the game, it looked like the match was heading for a goalless draw.
However, the Green Baggies’ persistence finally paid off in the 86th minute when Abdul Rahman Rukundo scored the opening goal to send the home fans into a frenzy.
Two minutes later, in the 88th minute, Fidali Uwiyaremye put the game completely out of Gasogi’s reach by netting the second goal. The double strike in the dying minutes sealed a solid victory for Kiyovu Sports.
