RPL Match Day 25: Amagaju and AS Kigali Secure Crucial Away Wins
KIGALI – The Rwanda Premier League returned to action today as Match Day 25 kicked off with high-stakes encounters. Amagaju FC shocked Musanze FC at the Ubworoherane Stadium, while AS Kigali picked up a vital narrow win away at Umuganda Stadium.

Musanze FC suffered a setback at home as Amagaju FC walked away with all three points in a 2-0 victory. Despite a balanced opening half-hour, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 36th minute through Destin Malanda, who punished a lapse in the Musanze defense.
The momentum shifted heavily toward Amagaju just before the interval. In the 45th minute, Ndayishimiye Edouard doubled the lead with a composed finish. Musanze pushed for a way back in the second half, but Amagaju remained disciplined to see out the result and secure a massive away win.
- Final Score: Musanze FC 0-2 Amagaju FC
- Scorers: Destin Malanda (36′), Ndayishimiye Edouard (45′)
Kalisa Rachid the Hero for AS Kigali
In Rubavu, AS Kigali managed to grind out a 1-0 win against Marine FC. The match was a tactical battle for much of the first half, with both sides locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
The breakthrough finally came in the 55th minute when Kalisa Rachid found the back of the net. The “Citizens” then put on a defensive masterclass to deny Marine FC any chance of an equalizer, moving AS Kigali further up the table in what has been a competitive season.

- Scorer: Kalisa Rachid (55′)
