APR FC Secures CAF Champions League Sport as Rwanda’s Representatives for Next Season,

Several clubs across Africa have already secured qualification for the 2026/27 CAF Champions League after winning their domestic leagues or confirming top positions in their respective national championships. The list reflects the growing excitement as Africa’s biggest club competition begins to take shape, with some of the continent’s traditional powerhouses joined by ambitious emerging sides looking to make their mark on the continental stage.
Among the qualified clubs are North African giants such as MC Alger, Club Africain and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, all of whom carry rich CAF competition experience. These teams are expected to be among the favorites as they seek to challenge for continental glory next season. From West Africa, notable representatives include ASEC Mimosas, Horoya AC, Rangers International, Rivers United and Rahimo FC.
Southern Africa is strongly represented with clubs such as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, who continue to dominate South African football. Rwanda’s champions APR FC have officially booked their place and will once again aim to impress on the continental stage after recent domestic dominance. Burundi’s Aigle Noir, South Sudan’s El Merrikh Bentiu, Chad’s Foullah Edifice and Lesotho’s Lijabatho FC are also among the clubs confirmed for next season’s prestigious competition.
Island nations are not left behind, with Foresters FC and La Cure Waves earning qualification and preparing for the challenge of competing against Africa’s elite clubs.
The qualification race is still ongoing in several countries, meaning more clubs will continue to join the list as domestic league campaigns conclude.
