Al Hilal SC Beat Amagaju FC Away to Stay Top

NYAMAGABE —Al Hilal SC secured a vital three points on the road with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Amagaju FC. The win ensures that the league leaders maintain their commanding position at the summit of the Rwanda Premier League table.

Al Hilal SC wasted no time stamping their authority on the game. Just 3 minutes after kick-off, the visitors silenced the home crowd when Salah Eldin Adil found the back of the net to make it 1-0. The early goal allowed the leaders to settle into their passing rhythm while Amagaju worked to find their footing.

Amagaju FC refused to let the game slip away and began to press high up the pitch. Their persistence paid off in the 40th minute when Rwema Amza struck a brilliant equalizer, leveling the score at 1-1

Both teams headed into the dressing rooms at halftime deadlocked at a goal apiece after an intensely physical opening 45 minutes.

The second half saw both managers making tactical adjustments, but it was Al Hilal’s quality that eventually shone through. In the 63rd minute, Omer Boshara capitalized on a defensive lapse from the hosts to restore Al Hilal’s lead, making it 2-1.

Amagaju pushed aggressively for another equalizer in the final 20 minutes, creating a few tense moments in the box. However, the visitors’ backline held firm. By the 80th minute, Al Hilal managed to slow down the tempo and successfully wind down the clock.

With this victory, Al Hilal SC bags another crucial away win. The club continues its stellar campaign this season, successfully defending its spot at the absolute top of the table against heavy pressure from chasing rivals like APR FC. Amagaju FC, on the other hand, will take positives from pushing the league leaders to the brink but remain desperate for points to climb away from the danger zone
