APR FC are Rwanda’s representatives in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League. The Rwandan champions were drawn against Les Aigles du Congo of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the preliminary round.
The first leg was played in Lubumbashi on 6 September 2026, with Les Aigles du Congo winning 1–0. APR FC now face a decisive second leg in Kigali, where they must overturn the deficit to keep their Champions League campaign alive.
If APR FC progress, they are scheduled to face the winner of AS Port of Djibouti vs Zamalek SC of Egypt in the next round.
Rayon Sports CAF Confederation Cup
Rayon Sports are representing Rwanda in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup. The Rwandan club were drawn against Panthère Sportive du Ndé of Cameroon in the preliminary round.
The first leg took place in Cameroon on 4 September 2026, with Rayon Sports securing a valuable 1–1 draw. Panthère opened the scoring through Valentin Beo Batto before Rayon Sports equalised through Junior Kameni in the 79th minute.
The result leaves the tie finely balanced ahead of the return leg in Rwanda. Rayon Sports will be looking to use home advantage to secure qualification for the next stage of the Confederation Cup.
Interesting storyline: Rayon Sports and Panthère Sportive du Ndé are meeting again after 11 years. They previously faced each other in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup, when Rayon Sports won the tie 2–0 on aggregate.
