TRANSFER NEWS: Ruboneka Gilbert and Gilbert Mugisha Leave APR FC After Years of Service

According to Director General of RADIO TV10Claude Hitimana, Ruboneka Gilbert leaves the military side after spending six years with the club, while Gilbert Mugisha departs after five years of dedicated service.
During their time at APR FC, both players played significant roles in the club’s domestic success, helping the team secure multiple trophies and maintain its status as one of the strongest football clubs in Rwanda. Their commitment, professionalism, and contributions on and off the pitch earned them the respect of teammates, coaches, and supporters alike.
Ruboneka established himself as a key figure in APR’s midfield, known for his composure, leadership, and ability to control the tempo of matches. Meanwhile, Mugisha became a reliable squad member whose versatility and work ethic made him an important asset throughout his stay at the club.
The departures come as APR FC continues its squads restructuring ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the club aiming to strengthen the team for both domestic competitions and continental challenges.
